What a long, tiring bus journey on Greyhound.
It took me almost a whole day to move to Chicago.
In the very early morning, I finished my breakfast in St.Louis Air bnb, took the local bus to Greyhound station. Before boarding, tagging your luggage is a must-do. Different from Mega bus.
The bus was late, small, and dirty. Were it not for the schedule, I wouldn't choose Greyhound.
After getting off the bus, I still had to drag my big 3-wheel luggage and walked for 1.5 kilometers to hostel. In that case, seeing the canal and skyscrapers emerge in front of me made me jump over the moon. It seemed that it was the beginning of my journey.
Accommodating myself to Hi Chicago is just a breeze for me. In thirty minutes, i was ready to enjoy my meal. Only the noodles and tofu belonged to me; the rest were left by pre- travelers.

My last destination of 2018 journey is Chicago, the Windy City.
Traveling in such a diverse city, visiting museums, enjoying the outdoor concerts or movies, taking a very relaxing walk in parks or by the lake, watching fireworks in Navy Pier by Michigan Lake, shopping in downtown and dining in a great variety of restaurants won't make you bored.
However, having a leisurely breakfast is my most precious time of the day.
Normally, two pieces of toast with peanut butter and coffee are adequate for me.
The day before yesterday, it was such a beautiful,sunny day here. Walking in Millennium Park, raising my head, looking into the blue and clear sky, my tears suddenly welled in my eyes. After staying in the cathedral, watching the locals praying and singing, I couldn't hold myself anymore. Tears kept rolling on my cheeks. Sad to leave Chicago? Fear of my unknown future? Well, better to say miss my bed and sofa in my pigpen‼️‼️
As I'm not sure when to visit Chicago again, I'm so eager to capture each single angle of it.
Now eight hours to go.
Instead of buying the day pass, I decide to make MUCH MORE USE of my numb legs to make Chicago a Fanny's Magic Wonderland.
I will miss you, Chicago‼️
